Step-By-Step Instructions for Using the Dent Pulling Kit

1. Prep tabs by soaking them in 91% rubbing alcohol and drying them before first use.

2. Insert a glue stick into the glue gun. Plug in the glue gun and allow it to heat up for 5 minutes.

3. Clean the area to be repaired with 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol and a clean towel. It is important to remove all wax and grease from the surface to insure the glue and dent pulling tabs properly adhere to the damaged area.

4. Select the correct sized dent pulling tab by comparing it to the size of the dent. Larger tabs are to be used for larger dents and smaller tabs used for smaller dents and for finishing dents.

5. To save time when doing multiple repairs, glue and place all of the tabs at once on the vehicle, then do all of the repairs.

6. Apply hot glue to the dent pulling tab by pulling on the trigger of the glue gun until approximately a dime sized amount of glue is released. Use a 'pea' sized drop of glue for smaller tabs and a dime size or slightly more for larger tabs.

7. Apply the dent pulling tab to the exact center of the dent. Avoid applying too much pressure when placing the dent pulling tab to the dented area, so you do not create too thin of a layer of glue between the car panel and dent pulling tab.

8. Allow the glue to set for about 5 minutes. The glue should be hard to the touch at the time you begin repair. If your fingernail leaves an impression in glue, simply allow a couple more minutes for glue to harden. Keep the panel to be repaired out of the direct sunlight so the glue will set properly.

9. Slide the dent lifter device directly over the dent pulling tab shaft until the female adapter in the center of the dent lifter slides over the shaft of the tab. Adjust the height knob accordingly.

9a. The T-Hand Puller may be used for larger dents or to remove the last 10-20% of a dent.

10. Squeeze the dent lifter handle slowly several times until the desired result is achieved. As the damage gets smaller, reduce the size of the dent pulling tab until the dent becomes flush.

11. It is common for the dent pulling tab to release from the glue, leaving the glue on the panel of the vehicle. When this occurs, spray 91% rubbing alcohol on the edge of the glue and peel it away using the plastic scraper. You may need to repeat steps #5 to #12 until the desired result is achieved. It is not uncommon to repeat the process up to ten times.

12. Occasionally a high spot is created when pulling the dent. If this were to happen, gently tap down any high spots using the dent hammer and the plastic tap down tool provided, until the dent is flush.

Be careful not to tap to hard or you might create additional low spots.

Important Information:

This process works best when the vehicle panel to be repaired is between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit. The hot glue will not set or cure at high temperatures. For best results, do not perform the repairs in the direct sunlight, as the hot glue may not set properly. Position the vehicle panel in a shaded area or let the panel cool down before performing the repair.

Dent pulling devices have limitations and are not designed to repair collision damage or dents located in thick metal. Extremely deep dents, rigid areas of the vehicle panel and dents that have existing paint damage may not be repairable using slide hammers and dent lifters. Never use dent pullers on vehicles with previous body repair where bondo or body fillers were used. Product is only recommended for use on factory OEM painted vehicles.
